Rider Agreement
Riders on ArcardeMall are independent operators. You choose your zones, you set your own fares, and you decide which jobs to accept. This agreement sets out what you owe the people whose goods you carry.
1. You are independent
You are not our employee. You use your own motorcycle, choose your own hours and carry your own risk. Nothing here creates employment, and we do not guarantee you a volume of work. You are responsible for your own licence, insurance and taxes.
2. Getting approved
- Valid national ID.
- Valid riding permit for the class of motorcycle you use.
- Registration details of the motorcycle, including plate number.
- A mobile money account in your own name for payouts.
- Third-party insurance where the law requires it.
3. Your fares and our commission
You set a base fare and a distance or zone component, plus any surcharge you apply at busy times. We add a commission on top, and the buyer sees a single quoted total before confirming. You are paid your fare from that total, minus the commission, through your rider ledger.
4. Zones and routes
You declare the zones you serve and may set favoured routes and exclusions. You are only offered jobs whose pickup and drop-off both fall inside a zone you cover. Declining a job never counts against you; accepting one and abandoning it does.
5. Delivering
- Collect only against the job reference shown in your app.
- Carry goods securely and keep them dry; you are responsible for what you accept.
- Never open a package.
- Complete the delivery by entering the buyer’s handover code. That code is the proof of delivery and the trigger that releases the vendor’s money from escrow — never enter it before the goods have physically changed hands.
- If nobody is there, call, wait up to 15 minutes, then return the order.
6. Cash on delivery
Cash you collect is not yours: it is owed to the vendor and to the platform, and it is recorded against your ledger the moment you mark the delivery complete. Settle it on the schedule shown in your dashboard. Exceeding your cash float limit pauses further cash jobs until you settle.
7. Loss and damage
Between collection and handover the goods are in your care. Where an order is lost or damaged through your fault, the buyer is refunded and the cost is recovered from your ledger, up to the order value. Accidents and theft reported immediately, with a police reference where relevant, are assessed case by case.
8. Safety
Wear a helmet and carry one for passengers where you take them. Do not ride under the influence, do not overload, and do not use the app while moving. We would rather a delivery be late than a rider be hurt.
9. Ratings and suspension
Buyers and vendors rate you, and you rate them. We may suspend an account for a sustained poor record, for abandoning accepted jobs, for entering handover codes before delivery, or for unsettled cash. Suspensions are explained and can be appealed to info@omeganodes.ai.
10. Data
You receive a buyer’s address and phone number only for the delivery in hand. Do not keep it, contact the buyer afterwards, or share it. Misusing buyer data ends your access and may be an offence under the Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 — see the Privacy Policy.
