Your Data Rights
Uganda’s Data Protection and Privacy Act 2019 gives you rights over your personal data. You can exercise most of them here, yourself, without writing to anybody.
1. Get a copy of your data
Downloads a single JSON file containing your profile, orders, addresses, reviews, messages, consent history and login sessions.
Sign in to download your data.
2. Correct something that is wrong
Name, phone number and addresses can be edited in your dashboard. To correct anything else, write to info@omeganodes.ai and we will fix it within 30 days.
3. Change what you consented to
Optional storage and analytics are off unless you turned them on, and you can change your mind at any moment.
4. Delete your account
Deleting erases your profile, addresses, wishlist, stock alerts and notifications, and signs you out everywhere.
What survives, and why: orders, invoices and escrow ledger entries are kept for the statutory tax retention period, with your identity removed from them. This is a legal obligation, not a choice. Reviews you wrote stay published but are no longer attributed to you.
A vendor account with open orders cannot be deleted until those orders are fulfilled or refunded — the buyers on the other side have rights too.
Sign in to delete your account.
5. Object, restrict, or complain
To object to processing we base on our legitimate interests, or to ask us to restrict it, write to info@omeganodes.ai. If you are not satisfied with our answer you can complain to the Personal Data Protection Office (PDPO), Uganda.
6. How long we take
Downloads and deletions are immediate. Requests sent by email are answered within 30 days; if a request is unusually complex we will tell you before that deadline and explain why. Full details are in the Privacy Policy.
